The aluminum housing of LED lamps dissipates heat differently depending on the power and application environment. Currently, there are several main heat dissipation methods:

  1. Integral aluminum heat sink fins: This is the most common method, using aluminum heat sink fins integrated with the lamp housing to increase the heat dissipation area.
  2. Thermally conductive plastic shell: Thermally conductive material is filled during the injection molding of the plastic shell to enhance its thermal conductivity and heat dissipation capabilities.
  3. Aerodynamics: Using the lamp shell’s shape to create airflow for convection cooling, which is the lowest-cost method of enhancing heat dissipation.
  4. Internal fan: A long-life high-efficiency fan is installed inside the lamp housing to enhance heat dissipation, which is cost-effective and efficient. However, replacing the fan can be cumbersome, and this method is not suitable for outdoor use, making it relatively rare.
  5. Heat pipe: Heat is transferred from the LED chip to the heat sink fins of the outer shell using heat pipe technology, commonly used in large lamps such as streetlights.
  6. Surface radiation heat dissipation: The lamp housing’s surface is treated with radiation heat dissipation, usually by applying radiation heat dissipation coating, which effectively removes heat from the lamp housing’s surface through radiation.

An’erhui Lighting Technology Co., Ltd. mainly produces heat sinks, radiators, aluminum panels, aluminum housings, aluminum covers, shielding covers, CNC machining, metal stamping parts, metal car parts, and other hardware stamping parts as a Guangdong heat sink manufacturer!
